There are several common winter readiness problems that many people run into with their Car or Truck.

1. Coolant / Antifreeze: Your coolant or antifreeze can degrade over time, especially if it’s only had water added to it.  It’s imperitive to your vehicles ability to cool or heat itself to have the proper ratio of coolant to water.  If there’s too much water it can cause freezing issues, and if there’s too much coolant it can cause overheating issues.  We check this using a quality test strip to ensure it’s ready to go for winter.

2. Belts & Hoses: The belts and hoses on vehicles wear out over time with use.  By visually inspecting them for signs of cracking, wear points, and general condition you can prevent costly breakdowns.

3. Tires: Tire condition changes with driving and tire age, it’s important to check them regularly, inflate them to the factory specification and rotate them regularly to extend tire life and improve fuel economy.

4. Fluids: The fluids in your vehicle are the lifeblood of its systems.  Its important to check these at the scheduled maintenance intervals to ensure longevity in your engine, transmission, and other systems.

5. Wipers and Auxillary Systems: Your wipers wear out over time and degrade, eventually cracking and peeling away.  It’s important to keep them functioning correctly to ensure visual safety while driving your vehicle.
